Wrought Iron Fence Installation
Fence Max Texas fabricates and installs wrought iron fencing across Dallas–Fort Worth, with custom panels, spear and flat tops, finials, scrollwork, puppy pickets and matching swing gates for pools, front yards, estates and commercial perimeters.
Wrought iron is what people picture when they want a fence that looks permanent without blocking the view. We fabricate panels rather than assembling stock sections, which is what makes custom heights, arched panel tops and matching gates possible.
The design vocabulary is broad: spear tops, flat tops, rings, scrollwork, finials, and puppy pickets in the lower section for pet containment.
Iron combines well with wood. Many of our projects run board-on-board cedar for privacy along the back and sides, and iron across the view side of the property.

Texas weather
Powder coat handles Texas UV well. What causes rust here is sprinkler overspray and water standing at the base of the pickets, so grading and finish integrity at ground level matter more than anything else.
Maintenance
Rinse twice a year, redirect sprinklers away from the fence, and touch up coating chips promptly before moisture reaches steel.
FAQ
Common questions
- Is wrought iron the same as steel fencing?
- In modern practice, ornamental 'wrought iron' fencing is fabricated from steel. The term describes the style and construction rather than a distinct metal.
- Will it rust?
- Not readily with an intact powder-coat finish. Chips and constant sprinkler contact are what start rust, and both are avoidable.
- Can it enclose a pool?
- Yes, and around a pool the picket spacing, height and gate hardware have code requirements we design to.
- Can iron and wood be combined?
- Yes, and it is one of the most common layouts we build — privacy where you need it, open views where you want them.
- How is it installed on a slope?
- Panels are racked to follow the grade or stepped in sections depending on the design and how steep the slope is.
